Semi-sesquicentennial of the college basketball observer overshadowed by jon rothstein tweet about campagnola

NEW YORK — Today marks the 75th anniversary of your favorite collegiate sports news outlet, The College Basketball Observer. Unfortunately, today also marks noted Basketball Guru Jon Rothstein’s 65th trip to Campagnola in the last calendar year. Rothstein’s tweet acknowledging this Fete of Gastronomy has once again, and rightfully so, dominated the CBB news cycle.

We at The Observer of course understand the importance of celebrating this Upper East Side bistro’s victuals, from their famed Four Pasta Appetizer to the succulent Veal Osso Bucco. We just wished that Jon’s visit to this particular establishment could have fallen on another day.
