internal investigation reveals junior videographer solely responsible for all seven level i violations levied against program

MEMPHIS—

Junior Videographer Lucas Harewood is accused of embezzlement, emotional/physical abuse, and a slew of additional charges after a Memphis Tigers spokesperson released the findings of an exhaustive internal audit earlier today. This announcement comes nearly three months after the NCAA sent The University of Memphis seven notices of Level I Violation allegations within the Men’s Basketball program, ranging from Academic Fraud to Systematic Hazing.

Harewood, 19, is a sophomore at Memphis majoring in Communications. Despite a short time within the program, he had already gained a status of notoriety by the time the NCAA stepped in. Shortly after the findings were made public, head coach Penny Hardaway gave an official statement to the press regarding the situation: “Luke has been nothing but trouble since we brought him on to our media team last spring. I’m shocked by what was uncovered in our audit and frankly disgusted by all offenses that he, and he alone, committed.”

The University maintains that Lucas is the sole offender of all violations levied, and has been terminated from the program effective immediately.
