Big East Fans set to protest nCAA Tournament if conference loses one more winnable non-con game, sources say
NEW YORK CITY - Shockwaves were felt all the way from the Bahamas up through to Queens after a crushing double overtime defeat at the hands of the Baylor Bears was delivered to Rick Pitino and Co. in a Caribbean ball room.
“I’m tired of this league getting disrespected. It’s time to protest the NCAA Tournament".” Said Johnnies fan Tommy DeVitoAngeloGoodfella who made the trip from his home in Jamaica, Queens to the Bahamas because his father-in-law married a stewardess for Spirit Airlines.
“It’s clear they don’t like us because we don’t cater to their pro-football vision of the world. I can hear it now: Come selection sunday, they’re gonna tell us that we lost our marquee noncon game to Baylor, and that will be the difference in our 5 seed vs our 6 seed. It’s a disgrace.”
The Johnnies aren’t the only team currently facing disrespect at the hands of the committee, as fans from Villanova and Seton Hall have also complained about lack of opportunities.
“The committee won’t let us score over 60 points in a game” New Jersey native John DiMaggio told us.
“The committee hired Kyle Neptune and then forced us to give him $3Million rosters to blow.” Said an anonymous Nova fan who would only give us the first name “Chris”.
It seems hard times may be coming the oriental conference’s way.
